International Baccalaureate (IB)
Primary Years Programme (PYP)
The IB Learner Profile defines the key traits that the International Baccalaureate (IB) aims to nurture in every child. It goes beyond academic achievements, focusing on the whole person and encouraging a balanced approach to learning and personal growth
At the heart of an IB education is the children. The 10 attributes of the Learner Profile reflect the IB’s commitment to developing well-rounded individuals. These traits emphasize curiosity, compassion, and respect, alongside the knowledge and skills needed to thrive in a global world.
The IB also prioritizes children' social, emotional, and physical well-being. Through their journey in the program, children grow in their ability to respect themselves, others, and the world around them.
IB educators guide students in understanding and demonstrating these attributes in meaningful ways. As children mature, they apply these traits with increasing depth and sophistication, preparing them to become globally minded individuals who can contribute to making the world a better place.

What is IB - Primary year Programme (PYP)?
The Primary Years Programme (PYP) emphasizes holistic learning, integrating social, emotional, physical, and cognitive development. In the PYP, early learning takes place in dynamic and stimulating environments that encourage play, discovery, and exploration.
The PYP is a transdisciplinary program, meaning children learn across different subjects while investigating big ideas. They explore important concepts through "units of inquiry." based on four central themes:
Who We Are
How We Express Ourselves
How the World Works
Sharing the Planet
By investigating these themes, children develop a deeper understanding of significant concepts and build connections between their learning and the world they live in. This approach fosters curiosity, critical thinking, and a lifelong love of learning.
